It Started With an Elf Named Hermey
For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to be a dentist. Nobody else in my family is in dentistry, so I probably attribute it to Hermey the Elf and Rudolph because Hermey wanted to be a dentist. After graduating from dental school, I practiced general dentistry for four years and I loved it. I really loved the dynamic of treating children and older patients but I always had a passion for orthodontics. I felt that if I was going to go back and be an orthodontist I needed to specialize so that I could give my patients my absolute best.
I love the social aspect of orthodontics – it is so much different than general dentistry because you get to build a relationship with the patients. That’s what I really love – seeing that smile and maybe a lack of confidence at the beginning of treatment and they just light up the room as they start to feel more confident in their own smiles.
Education
After completing my undergraduate studies, I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and practiced general dentistry in Dallas, TX for four years. In 2000, I moved to Michigan in order to get my orthodontic specialty degree. I have been a practicing orthodontist for over 20 years, proudly serving the families of South Lyon, Brighton, New Hudson, Salem, Milford, Novi, Northville, Wixom, and the surrounding areas.

Family is Everything
I am extremely blessed to have an amazing family cheering me on personally and professionally – my husband Chris, my son Walker, and my daughter Claire. My hobbies are built around my family. We love traveling, supporting school and sporting events, watching the kids wake surf, or just chilling out on the beach.
